Perfekt overnatning tæt på stationen
Perfekt beliggenhed i gåafstand fra tog- og busstation. Dejligt værelse med eget bad og toilet i et smukt ældre fransk byhus. God morgenmad med mulighed for at dele togerfaringer med andre gæster ved langbordet. Rigtig søde og hyggelige været som deler gode forslag til ture og oplevelser i vidunderlige Bordeaux, kun godt to timer fra Paris. Excellent home base in Bordeaux, very convenient to the train station
We had a great experience at La Halte Montaigne. We chose it based upon location and good reviews and we were not disappointed. Brigitte and Franck were delightful hosts and the facilities were lovely. We would highly recommend. The location is just five minute walk from the train station. We returned our rental car one afternoon, had that evening and the next day in Bordeaux, then had to be back at the station by 8:30 the next day after that, all made simple by this location. While perfect for our needs, I should note that the location is more practical than charming. It is about 2 km from the parts of town, so there are supermarkets, laundromats, and the basic amenities but not a lot of restaurants. We enjoyed walking the 25 minutes or so to the central/tour guide areas in the day and evening. There is also the excellent tram three blocks away at the train station. While plain from the outside, the interiors were lovely. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the shared spaces were perfect. Brigitte and Franck could not have been more helpful and accommodating; Brigitte is from Bordeaux and had excellent suggestions on places to visit in our limited time in the city. Une vrai pause pendant une séjour au cœur de Bordeaux
La Halte Montaigne est un vrai un lieu très agréable, très bien situé. Isabelle est vraiment une hôte attentionnée. C'est un lieu qui vous offre une vrai pause en plein Bordeaux. Literie top. Très belle demeure et hôte très accueillante
La halte Montaigne est une très belle maison d'hôtes. La décoration est très élégante. Isabelle nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Elle a su nous mettre à l'aise et nous a donné beaucoup d'informations sur sa ville qui est magnifique.

A very pleasant and welcoming B&B.
We stayed with Isabelle seven years ago, and had good memories, so we booked with her again on a rail holiday to France and Spain. The first plus is that La Halte Montaigne is less ten ten minutes' walk from both the railway station and adjacent tram stop, giving easy access to the town centre, which otherwise is a 30-40 minute walk away. It's an old-style house with wood and marble floors, and immacualately clean with comfortable bedding. Breakfast is simple but good quality, with local bread, cheeses, honey and jam, plus croissants, fruit and yoghurt, and a big jug of nice coffee. Isabelle is a delightful host, always happy to chat in excellent English, and ready with good recommendations - the Maison du Vin (opposite the Tourist Office and not to be confused with the Cité du Vin) was an elegent and inexpensive place to try the products of Bordeaux, and Le Boullin near the station was also good value. La pause enchantée sur la route des vacances
Une halte merveilleuse dans une demeure de caractère avec un accueil chaleureux. Cela fait trois ans que nous faisons cette pause enchantée sur Bordeaux. Mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés cette adresse.

N'hésitez pas ! belle maison Bordelaise, avec beaucoup de charme !
Belle maison, bel endroit pour accueillir les voyageurs. A 2 pas de la gare et du tram. Super Accueil, et merci pour les conseils de notre hôtesse, pour les visites de Bordeaux et l'accès au tram. Maintenant, Nous sommes au top avec tram ! Merci
