We liked absolutely everything. The location was perfect for us – close to trains and calm at the same time, 30 min walking distance to the very center. Our stays was above the expectations – the room was clean nice and comfortable; fresh croissants fruits and coffee were served for breakfast – eat as many as you can). The fridge and microwave are available in the kitchen, together with the all day around coffee/ tea facilities! The host Isabella was absolutely wonderful giving us all directions and recommendations! We will definitely come back!

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber mit einer sehr schönen Einrichtung. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Gastgeberin hat uns sehr gut Tipps gegeben und bei der Parkplatzsuche geholfen.

Eine tolle Unterkunft. Es hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Zimmer war groß und sehr sauber. Ein leckeres Frühstück mit einer tollen Gastgeberin. Parkplatz vor dem Haus ist nur Gebührenpflichtig, daher vor der Reise Kontakt mit der Gastgeberin aufnehmen. Ist gibt, wenn vorhanden eine Möglichkeit für einen Parkplatz in einer Garage.

A great experience

Isabelle’s warm welcome and lots of useful advice about Bordeaux. She made us completely at home! The house had period charm whilst having modern decor and comfort. Breakfast was a feast of good things.

Nice place for a night’s stay near train station

We stayed here because we had to catch an early train back to Paris the next morning. Our host was very nice and welcoming. She definitely spoke good English as well as French. The rooms are up a flight of stairs. No elevator. this was not a problem for us but just wanted some folks to know. Our room was large by European standards, air conditioned, and clean. Breakfast was terrific also. Overall, a very nice and pleasant stay. Don’t bother taking a taxi from the train station as its just as fast to walk!

The walls are somewhat thin so we did hear some noise from other rooms as well as guests arriving back late at night.

The room is nice sized and comfortable. There is a small seperate kitchen area for guests and the breakfast is adequate, with fresh pastries. The hotess is helpful and charming. Withint walking distance to the train station.

Best stop in France

We absolutely LOVE this B&B. I just finished a tour around France with my four daughters and stayed in a number of hotels and B&B’s. This by far was our favorite. It was meticulously clean, had (strong) WiFi which was critical to my daughters, and the entire house was air conditioned. I didn’t realize how rare that was in France until we spent two weeks in other places. The showers had the capability to be ‘hand held’ but could also be ‘hands free’ which we found to be another rarity in France. Our hostess, Isabelle, was extremely friendly, kind and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was fresh and clearly made of the freshest ingredients. If we had spent our entire France vacation in this B&B, we would not have wanted to leave. Very homey, very inviting and very relaxing. Do not think twice about staying here. You will not be disappointed. Oh yes, it’s just an added bonus that the B&B is an easy 5 minute walk to the train station. When in Bordeaux, we will be staying at the La Halte Montaigne. On a personal note, I want to give a special ‘thank you’ to Isabelle who allowed us to stay in the B&B past the checkout time. Our train did not leave until 3:00 pm and without her kindness, we would’ve had to sit in the train station for 4 hours which would have been terrible considering the weather here was 100 degrees. It’s the little things like that mean so much to travelers. Many thanks, Isabelle.

Easy access to train station, excellent service

I stayed one night in Bordeaux to bridge a train ride with a flight the next day. Being able to walk my little suitcase back and forth was a big plus (airport bus leaves from the train station). Isabelle was welcoming and efficient and took the time to mark the nicest walking route to the old center with advice on what to see on the way. This was super-helpful. The walk was about 20 min and pleasant. Walking back at night was fine too. I loved my short time in Bordeaux: great ambiance, small and sophisticated feel, easy to find a decent restaurant. I asked for natural yogurt, oats and fruit for breakfast, all of which was accommodated. Check-out was fast and efficient too. All-in-all a great stay.

The in-house floorboards and doors do make quite a racket.

Location was next to train

We came as a big group she assume we fit into 2 rooms and insisted that that was all she had. The other lady we traveled with never answered her email that she was coming so she didnt know the lady was there in the big group. Miscommunication lead to unorganization.
The breakfast was simple oj, coffee and yogurt.
Bathroom too small no room for legs.
AC was controlled by them it was on all night but turned off in the morning.
Floors are squeky can hear other people in other rooms.
Not near the center need to take tram better to be in the center.

We enjoyed a recent visit to Bordeaux and our stay at La Halte Montaigne!
Isabelle is a wonderful hostess, very kind and helpful. She spent time with us making great suggestions and giving us walking routes around the city.
We had a superior room that faced the inner courtyard garden. It was clean, well appointed and comfortable!
The continental breakfast was delicious with a selection of fresh bread and croissants, orange juice, coffee, tea, a selection of preserves and fresh fruit!
There is a small kitchen for guests to use with a sink, kettle and a refrigerator.
The train station is within easy walking distance (about 10-15 minutes), but it’s far enough away from the train station!!
La Halte Montaigne is in a quaint neighbourhood!

Удобное расположение рядом с вокзалом, до центра примерно 10 минут на автобусе. Автобусная остановка рядом и автобус отправляется каждые 5 минут. Очень порадовал садик и оборудованная кухня (общая зона). Вечером там можно было поужинать. Отель рекомендую всем!

Hadde bestilt tre rom for venner og oss selv. Bodde infam netter. God frokost på langbord med andre gjester. Flott bakgårdshage og lite minikjøkken for kaffe ol. Hjelpsom vertinne. Sentralt plassert nær jernbanestasjonen.

Det er noe gatestøy for de rom som vender slik, men svært rolig for de dyreste.

A relaxing stay in very pleasant surroundings.

A very comfortable and spacious room in an old French house. Close to the station and a short bus ride into the centre. The hospitality of the owner was exceptional. A small kitchen for guests, also a garden and a very good breakfast. The owner was friendly and very helpful.

Great weekend stay, despite some local transport issues

Friendly, helpful host who accommodated our late check-in, great breakfast and close to train station. Clean, spacious and comfortable room.

No fault of the property, but the tram connecting the station to the city centre was out of service while we were there. The replacement bus made it time consuming to travel to and fro. The location will be more convenient once the tram is working again.

Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum. Sehr nette Gastgeberin, super französisches Frühstück, einen traumhaften Innenhof, der zum Verweilen einlädt. Das Zimmer ist auch mehr als ausreichend, insgesamt vier Zimmer vorhanden.

Mit etwas Weg zur Altstadt ist zu rechnen, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Mit Bus und Tram gar kein Problem.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse d’Isabelle et tous ses bons conseils pour bien profiter de Bordeaux. Notre chambre était spacieuse et très propre. La literie est bonne et le petit déjeuner excellent : jus d’orange pressé frais, très bonne confiture maison… Je recommande sincèrement cette adresse qui, en plus, est bien située.

La signora, proprietaria del b&b è favolosa: gentile, accogliente, disponibile a dare qualunque tipo di informazione e consiglio sulla città e non solo. Ci mancherà!!! La colazione la prepara lei: pane fresco, spremuta, yogurt, marmellata e brioche fragranti…Ottima. Tutta la struttura è nuova e restaurata con gusto. La stanza è pulita carina e confortevole. Per spostarsi: a tre minuti a piedi dalla stazione è possibile prendere le bici pubbliche (e arrivare in centro in 10 minuti) oppure i mezzi.

Very comfortable, tastefully decorated guesthouse, conveniently located to the train station and public transport. Excellent breakfast and nice touches such as fruit bowl and access to small kitchen and courtyard. Friendly and helpful landlady.

The only hitch was on arrival at 5pm – there was no one at the property and we had to telephone and wait half hour to check in.

J’ai rarement vu un tel accueil, dans quel qu’établissement que ce soit. L’accueil est donc parfait, les parties communes sont très agréables, le petit-déjeuner est mieux qu’à la maison. A vivement conseiller pour toute prochaine étape à Bordeaux!

La casa es maravillosa, muy bien decorada y cómoda. La localización es perfecta si quieres estar en una zona tranquila y cerca de la estación de tren, pero puedes llegar al centro tranquilamente dando un paseo. El desayuno es muy completo y la anfitriona es perfecta, muy atenta y encantadora.

Die Gastgeberin ist äußerst nett und das Frühstück wird jeden Tag frisch und liebevoll zubereitet. Sie fragt auch nach eigenen Wünschen. Das kleine Hotel ist sehr nah am Bahnhof gelegen. Da das Hotel nur ca. 4 Zimmer hat, muss man es mögen evtl. Morgens mit anderen Gästen an der Frühstückstafel zu sitzen. Das Hotel selber ist ein Schmuckstück. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Nous avons eu un excellent accueil dans une maison très jolie, au calme et cela, tout proche de la gare! Le petit déjeuner est préparé avec soin, baguette fraîche tout comme le jus d‘orange.

Handy location for the railway station

Loved the Isabelle is an excellent host. Very welcoming and so knowledgeable about Bordeaux, having lived there all of her life. She kindly devised a walking tour of the city for us which took us to places we may not of visited otherwise. The breakfast is first class, fresh bread and croissants/pain au chocolate, fresh orange juice and preserves. A small kitchenette with a fridge is at your disposal as is a lounge area. The location is ideal for the station and about 25 minutes walk into town. Despite trip advisor saying there was a fridge in the rooms, there wasn’t one in ours.

We had a front room facing the fairly noisy road, go for a back (superior)room if you need a quiet nights sleep. The room next door had extremely creaky floorboards, possibly the occupants had heavy boots on as it was quite disturbing late at night. The room was well equipped but the toilet was tiny. However all this didn’t detract from our wonderful stay there.

Situation proche de la gare et du tram (5 minutes à pied). Notre hôte nous a donné beaucoup d’informations sur la ville et sur nos sorties comme Arcachon et st Emilion….Le petit déjeuner est trés bon et varié avec fruits frais et viennoiseries du boulanger …. confitures et autre attention. Bonne literie rien à redire sur le reste de la prestation. C’est avec grand plaisir que nous y retournerons si besoin.
